About Our Foundation

A story of conviction that childrens deserve respect, and that adults can learn to give it.

Mission & Vision

Everything we do flows from a single belief: healthy relationships between adults and children change lives.

Our Mission

To support the development of children and young people by focusing on the wellbeing of the adults in their lives, parents, carers, and teachers. We believe that when adults feel supported and understood, children flourish.

We translate the best research in child development, attachment, and communication into practical, accessible programs that real families and real schools can use.

Our Vision

A world where every child grows up in an environment of genuine respect, where their feelings are acknowledged, their voices are heard, and their individuality is celebrated.

We envision communities where adults are equipped, empowered, and encouraged to build relationships based on dignity rather than control.

How We Began

From a small gathering of passionate parents to a nationally recognised foundation, here is our journey.

2014

The First Conversation

A small group of parents and educators in Wrocław began meeting informally to discuss a shared frustration: despite loving their children deeply, they often felt ill-equipped to communicate with them effectively. They began studying the ideas of Jesper Juul, Thomas Gordon, and others, sharing what they were learning with friends and neighbours.

2015

The First Conference

The group organised its first public conference in Wrocław, inviting speakers from across Poland. Over 200 parents, teachers, and psychologists attended. The response was overwhelming, people were hungry for exactly this kind of conversation. It was clear that a more formal structure was needed.

2018

Foundation Established

The Foundation "Raising with Respect" (Fundacja "Wychowanie w szacunku") was officially registered in Poland's National Court Register (KRS 0000735346) on July 13, 2018. With a legal structure in place, the foundation could pursue grants, partnerships, and larger-scale programming. The registered address was established at Legnicka 72, Wrocław.

2018–2020

Growth & National Reach

The annual conference grew year on year, attracting speakers from Europe and beyond. The foundation launched its first school workshops, bringing respectful communication training directly into classrooms. A network of certified facilitators was established, allowing programs to reach communities outside Wrocław.

2021–2023

Adapting & Expanding

Facing the challenges of the pandemic era, the foundation rapidly developed online formats. webinars, recorded talks, and virtual workshops, reaching thousands of families across Poland and the Polish diaspora worldwide. In-person events returned stronger than ever, with the 9th conference drawing record attendance.

2024

The 10th Anniversary Conference

A milestone year. The 10th annual conference marks a decade of meaningful conversations, thousands of families supported, and a growing movement of adults committed to raising children — and relating to them with genuine respect. The theme: teenagers, and the unique challenges of adolescence for families and schools.

Our Team

A small, dedicated group of professionals committed to making the foundation's mission a reality every day.
